It is not a defintive statement, but several new studies and one in particular from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health just presented another science based edge. As indicated by The Washington Post, analysts followed deadly auto accidents more than 14 years in 18 states, and determined whether opioids or cannabis were present in those killed. They observed that states, like New Mexico, with lawful medicinal cannabis programs, had few rates of crash casualties with opioids in their systems, particularly among casualties ages 21 to 40 or, the age likely to be using medical cannabis.

A state advisory board that made suggestions to New Mexico’s Medical Cannabis Program and voted 5-1 to include “Opiate Use Disorder“ to the rundown of conditions that qualify a person for the medical cannabis program, a move one wellbeing proficient said could change the state’s opiate addiction issues.
